Founder and Chief Executive

Mr. Nartey has over twenty years working experience, working as business development manager, corporate financier, independent consultant and investment adviser for well established corporations and institutions in Ghana and Europe. He has valuable expertise in the areas of: business development, project financing & management, corporate & financial restructuring and management information systems He until recently worked as the Country Manager for HSBC in Ghana, Sierra Leone, The Gambia and Liberia.

He has also worked for companies like:
The CDH Group (Investment Bankers), Accra, Cal Merchant Bank, Empretec Ghana, Dow Chemicals (the Benelux), Span Consultants (Holland), Volta Aluminium Company (VALCO, Tema), Volta River Authority (Accra) and Billiton Bogosu Gold (Bogosu), Gbewaa Civil Engineers Limited (engineering & consulting company, Accra). He was a member of a team of consultants, working as external consultants to the Ghana Government/State Enterprises Commission (SEC) on a World Bank-sponsored project on the pre-divestiture study, financial restructuring and re-capitalization, as well as strengthening of management information needs, of selected State Owned Enterprises (SOE’s). He has lectured at the National Banking College of Ghana, Accra (as a visiting lecturer on loan documentation and lending procedures); and as a guest lecture for the ODA/Ministry of Health Capacity Building Training Programme for In-charge Accountants at the various regional centers’ in Ghana (lecture on managing people, time and money).

Mr. Nartey is computer literate and speaks and writes fluent English and German. He holds a BSc. & MSc. degree in structural engineering from the Technische Universitat, Dresden-Germany, as well as a combined degree Program awarding a Masters in Business Administration (MBA-Corporate Finance & Strategic Planning) with a Masters in Business Informatics (MBI), from Rotterdam School of Management, Rotterdam, Holland and the Business School of University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA.

bullet3Joshua E.K. Ofedie
Executive Director (Energy & Power Sector Specialist)
Mr. Ofedie has work for the past twenty-eight year in one of the LEADING power utility companies in Africa. Prior to joining KRON, Mr Ofedie was the Chief Executive of the Volta River Authority (VRA) in Ghana. A position he has had for the past four years.
Working as the Executive Officer of VRA, Mr. Ofedie led the company’s Executive Team responsible for the overall management of the electricity utility under constrained economic conditions. He also handled the restructuring of debt, mobilization of funds and the implementation of various power projects including projects under the West Africa Power Pool, as well the streamlining of the management support systems. He chaired various Boards including Volta Hotel, Volta Lake Transport Company and Takoradi International Company and represented the Government on the Board of Directors for the West African Pipeline Project.
Mr. Ofedie’s expertise include the following: financial management, Computer-based financial modelling, corporate  and business Planning, appraisal of development expenditure, mobilization of project finance and the management of development projects, electric utility management systems in a constrained economic environment.
Mr. Ofedie holds an MPA in Public Finance, Applied/ Macro Economics from the Harvard University Cambridge, Massachusetts. USA; an MBA in Corporate Finance/Business Administration from the University of Ghana, Legon-Accra and a B.Sc.(Hons) in Statistics with Mathematics also from the University of Ghana, Legon-Accra.
In addition to the above mentioned academic qualifications, Mr. Ofedie has participated in various valuable industrial attachments, including the following: Institute of Public Private Partnership Restructuring Utilities; University of Florida (2 weeks) seminar on Public Utilities Regulation; California, USA: Introducing more competition to the electricity sector; Coopers and Lybrand, U.K. - Treasury Management and Bid Evaluation  Procedures in practice at Coopers and Lybrand, UK; Ontario Hydro, Canada: Financial Management as practiced at Ontario Hydro; and Morgan Bank, New York :International Financial and Capital Markets and Foreign Exchange Transactions operations of Central Banks.

bullet3 Foster Kwame Mensah
Executive Director (Operations)

Mr. Mensah is a Director of the Company in charge of operations. As the Executive Director of the Centre for Remote Sensing and Geographic Information with the University of Ghana, he is responsible for the management and day-to-day management of the center and also technically responsible for the satellite image processing, interpretation and classification. Mr. Mensah has worked on many projects including the National Feeder Roads Inventory and GPS survey, Sustainable  Tree crop Project and was a key figure in establishing a mapping and monitoring system for development activities in Ghana.

Mr. Mensah holds an MPhil in geographic and resource development from the University of Ghana, a post graduate diploma in integrated mapping and geographic information production, and also holds the degree, BSc in geodetic engineering from (Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology) KNUST.

Executive Director

Mr. Amuna is an energy expert and a professional fellow of the Ghana Institution of Engineers and a Senior Member of the Institution of Electrical and Electronic Engineers, USA (MIEEE).  He has over twenty year of working experience almost all of which with his present employer. He is presently the resident acting Director of the Technical Services departments of the Volta River Authority, where he has over the year worked in various capacities in the review and monitoring of key electrical engineering installations across in Ghana.

Mr. Amuna’s training span from 1980 to 2003, during which period, he acquired vital educational training in University of Science & Technology, Kumasi-Ghana BSc. (Hons) Electrical Engineering), Volta River Authority Training School (Protection & Control), United Nation University Leadership Academy, (Amman, Tokyo and Beijing), Penn State University (Advance course In Power Systems Engineering), University of Ghana (MBA-Finance) and Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University (MPA - Public Policy).
Mr. Amuna is a well built, experienced and tested electrical engineer, with very strong specialization in the following Area: Project design and implementation; Environmental impact assessment; Power generating, transmission and distribution systems technical auditing; project monitoring and evaluation; technical bid evaluation and general power systems performance review.

bullet3Jojo Wudu Benin
Project Manager

Mr. Benin is the Project Manager and is responsible for the management of various pending projects of the company. He joined KRON in 2008. He is a holder of BSc in Business Administration from Central University, BSc in Product and Product Development from Malardalen University in Sweden, and a Masters Degree in Production and Logistics Management from Malardalen University in Sweden. He is currently taking a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) at Blekinge Institute of Technology in Sweden specializing in Marketing and Strategy.

Mr. Benin has to his credit years of working experience in both Sweden and Ghana in the field of Logistics, Research, Accounting, Auditing, and Project Management.
